ROV Underwater Inspection
Why ROVs for Underwater Inspection?
Our ROV underwater inspection services utilize remotely-operated vehicles as a tool to augment our diving capabilities. While nothing can replace the dexterity of a diver, utilizing an ROV for underwater inspection services and specific tasks in a project provides greater operational flexibility while adding an additional safety check prior to putting personnel in the water.
Improved Diver Safety
Many utility operators require use of an ROV prior to a diver entering the water. A dive site may be checked for the presence of differential pressure, obstacles which could entangle a diver or other potential hazards. ROV underwater inspection can also be used to locate objects and verify depths, which helps in better planning of dives.

THE DEEP TREKKER PIVOT
The Deep Trekker Pivot ROV allows for a small equipment footprint, reducing mobilization costs. Weighing 35 pounds, the vehicle does not require a davit or A-frame for launching. Simple controls allow dive crew members to be easily cross-trained in ROV operation, minimizing the costs for extra personnel.
Advantages of the Deep Trekker Pivot:
- Operates at depths to 450’.
- Dual cameras capable of recording high-definition video.
- Six thrusters for superior maneuverability.
- No lifting equipment needed for deployment on-site.
- Mobility. Lightweight system is air-transportable.
- Tooling options: multi-beam sonar, ultrasonic thickness (UT) transducer, dye-injector for leak detection, Ultra Short Baseline (USBL) positioning system.
