Nuclear Diving Services and Support
As the premier international provider of nuclear diving services to the commercial nuclear power industry, including nuclear power plants, research reactor facilities, and the government energy complex, UCC brings professional and technical solutions to deliver safe, efficient, well-planned, and executed projects to clients worldwide.
Since the 1970s, UCC has provided teams of highly skilled nuclear divers, supervision, and quality control inspectors with extensive knowledge and experience supporting new construction, operational support, and decommissioning. The Executive Management team at UCC, the owners, the Vice Presidents, and all Operations Managers are, or were, nuclear divers. Nuclear diving delivers projects at less cost and shorter schedules, is safe, regulator-recognized, proven, and, most importantly, repeatable.
We understand that licensees expect the service provided to achieve higher plant reliability, maintaining and improving plant safety, minimizing cost, and facilitate regulatory interaction. UCC’s nuclear divers are a highly skilled and elite team of experts who provide invaluable support, specializing in inspections, ongoing maintenance, and emergent support services.

In addition to our core nuclear diving services, we also offer an extensive range of non-radiological diving services, including:
These specialized services cater to the unique needs of nuclear power facilities, providing complete support beyond inspections and maintenance.
Unparalleled Nuclear Diving Expertise
UCC maintains a quality assurance program that meets the requirements of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, N-QA1, ANSI N45.2 and we are a participating member of the Nuclear Industry Assessment Committee (NIAC) audit program, similar to the joint audit program operated by utilities through the Nuclear Procurement Issue Committee (NUPIC). UCC is also a long-standing Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) member, whose members complete mandatory audits.
Our safety-related inspection and maintenance programs and diver training requirements meet or exceed applicable industry codes and standards by ASME, ASTM, ANSI and other industry organizations. Periodically, we are also successfully audited by NUPIC, demonstrating our commitment to adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
UCC’s Level I, II, and III VT-1 and VT-3 inspectors are qualified commercial divers. Our regularly scheduled inspector training program meets the requirements of ANSI N45.2.6 and ASME Section XI, CP 189. Inspection information is documented using the latest underwater video and electronic data management techniques.
