Mr. Nichols began his career as a diver with Underwater Construction Corporation (UCC) in 1986 after graduating from the Florida Institute of Technology. With over 38 years of experience, he has served in multiple roles within the commercial diving and power industries at UCC.
He quickly established himself as a leader in the field and was promoted to Foreman in 1991. He subsequently took on the role of Project Manager, overseeing several international re-racking projects. He was appointed to the senior management team in 1995 as International Operations Manager and Business Development Manager.
Following the transition from RUST to UCC in 1996, Mr. Nichols became the first person to assume the role of Sales and Marketing Manager. His continued success led to his promotion to Estimating Manager in 1999, and in 2014 he was named Director of Finance. The following year he played a pivotal role in establishing Underwater Construction UK Ltd., securing several NEC3 springboard contracts in support of the European decommissioning market.
Mr. Nichols has held the position of Vice President of Finance since 2018 and is responsible for all estimating and contracts for UCC divisions, as well as the oversight and management of Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Human Resources. His decades of strategic insights and financial acumen, coupled with his unwavering commitment to safety and technological advancements, have been instrumental in driving the company’s expansion, financial success, and stability.
